Abstract:
Open source is quickly becoming a viable alternative for all
libraries. Edward Corrado, a librarian and active member of the
open source community, will share his thoughts on the future of
open source software and services in libraries at the 2007 Rudi
Weiss lecture. Current and developing initiatives, such as Koha,
Evergreen, VuFind, and LibraryFind, will be
presented and discussed.This lecture will show
you real-life examples of open source at work
and give you plenty of food for thought!
